Each well of the E-Gel should be filled with 20 μL. For wells that you don't use,
fill with 20 μL of distilled water. For molecular weight markers and PCR products,
prepare 20 μL samples as follows:
PCR Products: Combine 6 μL of PCR product,
3 μL of 6X loading dye and 11 μL of dH2O.
100 bp Ladder: Combine 7 μL of 100 bp ladder,
3 μL of 6X loading dye and 10 μL of dH2O.
These volumes can be combined on a small sheet of parafilm. Offset and stagger
so that there is limited chance they can run into each other. Samples can be
loaded directly from this sheet to the gel.
